Claude.ai Web Integration

Claude.ai Pro/Max users can add a custom connector to a remote KiCad MCP server.

Important: Claude.ai custom connectors require a publicly reachable remote MCP endpoint. They cannot connect to local STDIO servers. For local KiCad access, use Claude Desktop or Claude Code with STDIO transport.

Requirements

• Claude Pro/Max account
• A publicly hosted KiCad MCP remote server
• (Team/Enterprise) Organization Owner adds connector first

Setup

1. Go to Settings → Customize → Connectors → Add custom connector
2. Enter MCP server URL: https://mcp.kicad.example.com/mcp
3. Complete OAuth flow if required

Limitations

• No direct local KiCad access
• Project analysis via upload only
• Report generation without local file write
